It is a 1989, and in killer condition. I actually like playing it more than the other one I have (w / Bigsby), much better action and playability. I picked it up a couple years back at 30th street guitars in NYC and it has a funny back story. It belonged to the famous actor Vincent D'Onofrio. I'm told that it was a gift to himself after winning some oscars for his first big movie, Full Metal Jacket Can't confirm this, but it doesn't matter anyway, its just a great 335! This is a 1969(ish) Gibson 335 in Sparkling Burgundy. Serial number is 981781 which puts it at 1966 -1969.

The guitar is in very good shape and has some light checking, but no major bumps, scrapes, or scratches. It is pictured with a Faber bridge with steel saddles, but the original is in fine shape and both will be included. The guitar does have quite a bit of fading on the top, the back and sides are not faded near as much and are a very cherry color. The guitar MAY have been refretted, it is. This is a 60's vintage Gibson Chipboard Soft case that came with my 1962 ES 335 TDC It doesn't show much wear and tear because it was hardly used and, I also purchaseda hard shelled case for my guitar. It has a nice red plush lining on the inside and there is a Gibson metal logo on the lid of the inside compartment The case is clean and in very good condition (see pics).
